About us

Welcome to Cannons Health & Squash Club in Richmond. We are located just a short walk from Richmond Station by the Richmond Athletic Ground.

At Cannons Richmond we want to help you get healthier, whatever your health and fitness goals may be. Work out in the gym, take a class in the studio or relax in the sauna.

We also have a licensed bar area, which is a great place for socialising before and after your workout.

About the gym

Unlike many other gyms and health clubs, we don't just want to get you in – we want to get you healthy and fit.

Our aim is to improve your health for the long-term, by actively helping you take control of your wellbeing. That's why our team is always on hand to help you get the most our of your membership
We also offer all members a free 12-point health MOT.

Our clinically-backed health MOT will help give you an idea of your current health, and help get you off on the right track. On the back of your health MOT, your Wellbeing Advisor will develop a personalised programme to help you get healthier and fitter.

About Personal Training

Our team of expert personal trainers are a great way to help reach your health and fitness goals quickly. Our personal training is all about you, your goals, your current health and fitness levels, and also how you like to exercise.

Every member is invited to enjoy a free 30-minute personal training taster session. This is an excellent opportunity to understand the benefits of personal training.

About our Exercise Classes

We offer a varied range of classes, which are free to all members. Whether you are a seasoned class-goer or have never been before, our fitness advisors can help select the perfect class for you.

All of our classes are run by an experienced and qualified instructor, and offer a fun environment to work out in, with the added support of other members.

We currently offer Body Pump, Circuits, Cycle, Pilates & Yoga and Zumba classes, plus many others each week. You will be able to find a class that interests you and fits with your schedule.    

About squash

Cannons Richmond has an esteemed history of squash, having been home to former squash world champions and Super League tournament winners.

The club was originally the Richmond Town Squash Club, and this legacy continues today. Players of all skill and experience levels are warmly welcome. We offer 5 well-maintained squash courts, with regular tournaments and friendly competitions.

Squash Club Night: Every Sunday we host a squash club night between 4- 7pm. This is open to club members and paying guests. It is a great way to meet new people and have some great games of squash.

Squash coaching: Mo Khalid is our resident 'squash doctor'. He is 4 times Pakistan National junior champion and has over 15 years of squash coaching experience. Whether you're looking to improve your current game or are a beginner, get in touch.

Internal Squash Leagues: We have an internal club league running year-round, with 6-week intermissions. We cater for all ages and abilities, so do not be afraid to join up even if you have never played in a squash league before.
